As part of institutional capacity building for USAID implementing partners, SCALE organized a procurement management training to address identified issues around procurement processes and policy compliance. The training held in Abuja and Lagos was designed to bring to the fore the importance of complying with the procurement cycle, procurement solicitations, approval processes, vendor management, preventing error-prone and delays in procurement to ensure transparency and reduce the risk of fraudulent behavior and lack of control on costs. Participants’ capacities were improved to implement effective and efficient procurement and supply chain management in relation to standard processes and procedures. Pre/post tests issued at the training indicate a 44.84% and 49.50% knowledge increase in Abuja and Lagos respectively.
